Day 1

Day 1: The winner of the auction has called to get her winning prize! I am painting a picture of her daughters horse for christmas. Times Ticking!!
This is a picture of day one. "the block in stage". In this stage I just focus on blocking in the basic value, temperature and color as I think it should be the first time around. Then later ill go in and adjust, what need to be altered. This just lets me get a general idea and get paint on the canvas!

Buggs

The art work below is a commissioned piece of the clients horse, Buggs. It served as a model in auction today to raise money for brain damage. The winner of the silent auction gets to have their very own painting of their horse done by me. The money then goes towards an organization to help people with brain tumors. This means there will be another horse painting project to come and I get to help people while doing art, what's better then that!

.... This is the process on the Commissioned horse piece. The last and final one has not been documented yet. It will be documented on a further date.

* the documentation has be photographed via cell phone

The start of the painting in the house bar.

Step 3:
Finished up the drawing, Primed the drawing and started to paint. Today we used scaffold, instead of a latter. Frightened for my life, I definitely perferr the latter! Adjusting to the fast drying of acrylics but making it work. Got a good start today, hopefully be able to finish up tomorrow.

Stokes of Creativity in Action: Kathyrn Monaco Douglas aka my mother and I.
